Nexia BT Advisory Partner, Anita Aloisio is a corporate finance and restructuring specialist. Since starting her career in auditing in a Big Four firm 20 years ago, Anita managed a number of corporate restructuring projects - for both the public and the private sector. Anita also has significant experience in funding, finance and administration of EU projects and public procurement. Anita has direct experience in the tertiary education sector having served as Director of Finance for the University of Malta for three years managing a funding portfolio of €55 million; as well as in the health sector where she held the position of Financial Controller of a private hospital in Malta. For a number of years, she also specialised in building cost models for the communications industry. Her work was instrumental in aligning interconnection rates in Malta with those of the EU. In 2005, she led the project of building a NGN bottom up cost model - the first of its kind in Europe. Presently, Anita leads the advisory services arm of Nexia BT, assisting a wide range of clients in managing corporate governance issues, risk management, business planning, EU funding and corporate finance.Anita is a Fellow of the Malta Institute of Accountants and holds an Executive Masters in Business Administration from the ENPC in Paris and the University of Edinburgh Business School. She also lectures fifth year students at the University of Malta. In 2014, Anita won the prestigious MSV Life Top Entrepreneur of the Year Award and Corporate Financier of the Year Award.
