Luisa Monini graduated in Medicine from the University of Padova in 1975, and went on from there to obtain her specialization in Orthopaedics, in Hand Surgery and in Medical and Health Service Managing. L.M. participated in several research studies on the reinnervation of muscles, and research on direct muscular neurotization. Author and anchorwoman of a weekly TV scientific program since 1990 and scientific collaborator for the daily national newspaper “Corriere della Sera”. She’s won the Unamsi Prize “Ippocrate 2000” and “Voltolino” Prize by UGIS for her career as a scientific journalist. President of the “Giorgio Brunelli Foundation” and Editor of “Raggi di luce”, the Foundation’s quarterly magazine. Member of the Italian Red Cross, of the Brescia Rotary and the Inner Wheel Clubs.Chair of the Italian Health Committee F.I.D.A.P.A. BPW Italy and BPW International, where she is currently serving her second consecutive term as International Health Chair.
